Volhynia (p. 90)

The area that we know as Volhynia is within the Dnieper drainage system. Mennonites from Alsace, the Emme Valley and other parts of Europe settled in Volhynia before 1800. The settlers moved from one site to another with unusual frequency. This map shows the locations of the more permanent settlements.
