Johannes Klaassen, or John as he was often called, died on October 17, 1918 in prison at Leavenworth, Kansas, United States. In this episode, host Dan Dyck tells the story of John, a conscientious objector from Oklahoma that died in prison after refusing to don a military uniform. Here is his story, as told through the diary of his father, Michael Klaassen.
